Job Summary

  • The Littlest Lamb Psychologist will provide mental health support for children, most often with trauma-focused solutions, and provide staff with comprehensive behavioral plans unique to each child’s needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment
    • Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions with children and staff
    • Conduct cognitive testing as needed
    • Utilize behavioral observation in child interactions
  • Consultation
    • Confer with pediatricians, teachers, counselors, social workers, or fellow psychologists about treatment or care options
  • Intervention
    • Apply the appropriate treatment approaches to children
  • Prevention
    • Successfully steer children on the path to better mental health through the use of necessary techniques
  • Write reports and update database from session notes and treatment plans
  • Liaise with other professionals in psychology field to ensure the best practices are being applied appropriately with children
  • Keep up-to-date with disciplining techniques, and behavioral therapies and new methods to refer to

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must hold Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and PhD or PsyD
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Arabic
  • Must be familiar with the field of early intervention, individual and cognitive therapies, and ABA therapy
  • Must have 3+ years experience treating children with trauma narratives
  • Relate well to children
  • Knowledgeable of psychological resources that serve children
  • Must continually stay up-to-date with new techniques and schools of thought in psychology
  • Demonstrate good decision-making, organizational, and communication skills
  • Exercise discretion and confidentiality in TLL casework
