GROUNDBREAKING ON SITE!!
(Posted Monday, July 27, 2009)

On Friday, July 17, 2009, sounds of celebration were heard from Ahmed Oraby, Egypt as contractors made the first dig on the Littlest Lamb Orphanage grounds! The event was a tremendous success, with everyone from the architects, to the engineers, to the families and friends of the project in attendance. The excitement doubled when Pope Shenouda III, leader of the largest Christian sect in Egypt, arrived to bless the land and lay the first bricks (beneath which he buried items such as a cross, a coin, and a mini lamb)!
Now that the ground has been broken, construction on the first phase of the orphanage will begin in the coming weeks. This unforgettable moment has been long anticipated, and we would like to thank all members of the Littlest Lamb family for their unyielding support throughout the process thus far – we truly could not have done it without you. Please join in the excitement of this time, and stay tuned for frequent future updates!

THE LITTLEST LAMB-PAIGN
(Posted Monday, November 3, 2008)
Considering the tough economic times that we are all currently facing, The Littlest Lamb would like to ask for just a little bit of your help. We are offering the option to donate as little as one dollar per month ($12 a year!) to allow supporters of all ages and incomes to partake in this unique orphanage project. The procedure is simple and automatic, with no additional fees.
Click Here and make your first donation today!
Our goal this year is to sign up 5,000 people for online monthly credit card donations, starting with donations as low as $1 per month. Think about that...one dollar per month. That's less than 3.3 cents a day! You may be thinking, "How can only $1 a month make a difference?" If one person were doing it on their own, that would be a concern. But if thousands stand with us and give just a bit, that little won't be so little any more and will go a long way towards making this dream a reality. We know it's an ambitious goal, but we believe we can achieve it with your help. With that in mind, know that no monetary contribution is too small (or too great, for that matter!) for the lambs.
Please feel free to share and pass the word along to your families, friends, and co-workers. Parents, encourage your children to initiate the campaign amongst their peers so that they are encouraged to learn and appreciate the importance of charity and making a difference at an early age. It is never the wrong time to get involved! Please Note: Your contribution is fully tax-deductable in the U.S., as the Littlest Lamb is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. You will receive a tax statement.

Our Mission Statement
The Littlest Lamb is a non-profit organization
dedicated to providing a safe, loving and supportive
home for children who have lost one or both parents.
Caring for the needs of the children during their
formative and adolescent years is our priority.
This is achieved through a comprehensive program
designed to meet the needs of the children on many
levels, including:
• a clean, well-equipped home
• well-balanced nutrition
• physical & emotional well-being
• fostering spiritual growth guided by Christian
principles
• standard education & life skills
• child/youth centered environment where children can
engage in physical activity and creative projects
The site is located just outside of Cairo, in Ahmed
Orabi, within close proximity to schools, hospitals
and recreation facilities. Our family, like other
families, works to ensure that our children have
everything they need to reach their full potential and
grow to become self-sufficient adults living
productive and fulfilling lives with families of their
own.
How is the Littlest Lamb Unique?
• 9 acres of land, giving the children enough room to run and play, as children are meant to.
• A family style environment
• Focus on giving them a good education through University level in order to break the cycle of poverty.
• Long range goal of the children becoming contributing members of Egyptian society and leaders of the next generation.
• While they will be trained and supervised using U.S. standards, the Home will be run by Egyptians, for Egyptians.

Third Annual Gala Raises over $275,000!
(Posted Saturday, December 5, 2009)

On November 21, 2009, around 200 Littlest Lamb supporters enjoyed a fabulous evening at the Battery Gardens in downtown Manhattan. We were graced with two live bands, 4 ambassadors, and New York Knicks legend Walt 'Clyde' Frazier - who surprised us all and auctioned off 2 tickets to the Knicks vs Lakers preceded by a private dinner with the Legend himself! All in all a very successful evening, raising $200,000 which will go DIRECTLY into the building of the orphanage in Egypt. Thanks to all our supporters, who never fail to amaze us with your kindness and generosity!

A Visit from the Sharm British School
(Thursday, July 23, 2009)

On June 19, 2009 three students, two parents, and a headmaster flew from Sharm el Sheikh to Cairo to visit the site of the Littlest Lamb Orphanage. There, the children planted a tree on the land and imprinted foundation stones with their handprints. The children and staff at Sharm British School have been fund raising for the Orphanage throughout the year, and were thrilled to make their first monetary and symbolic contribution. We at the Littlest Lamb are extremely grateful to the School, children, parents and staff for their involvement and support of our Orphanage, and we look forward to continuing our work together!

Pele to Littlest Lamb: I am part of your team
(Friday, April 10, 2009)

November 25, 2008 New York City, NY
“Tonight, you are all here because you opened your hearts for the kids” said Pelé at the Littlest Lamb’s 2nd annual Gala. The night, at the scenic Battery Gardens in Manhattan, was truly magical. The Littlest Lamb, not yet 3 years old, played host to a fundraising gala with legendary soccer star and humanitarian, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, better known as Pelé. He was being honored for the essential role he has played over the years both as an athlete and a philanthropist, and particularly for his dedication to issues of poverty, children and youth. Pelé was presented with an award for the countless charitable contributions he has made to society, and responded with a heartfelt speech, expressing his gratitude for being welcomed at the benefit, and excitement to be part of the Littlest Lamb team. He told us that only God knows why things happen, and God is the reason Pelé and the Littlest Lamb are now working together. Also in attendance was Ambassador Hossain Mubarak, the Egyptian Consul General to New York, who made a passionate speech in support of the Littlest Lamb. The evening was a huge success to say the least, raising over $225,000 to build the orphanage. Beyond the funds raised was the welcomed opportunity we had to connect with our donors and supporters and not only update them on our progress, but also to enjoy an evening of fine dining and entertainment. As Pelé told us, “We are going to score a goal when we inaugurate the orphanage in Egypt!”
